Fisher

Fisher starts his first professional job on Monday, so he came in for a fresh headshot. He is training to become a licensed financial advisor with US Bank.

After graduating from UW-Madison last year, Fisher moved to Utah and worked at a ski shop. Skiing everyday was a perk of the job.

When he’s not on snow, Fisher likes to be in water. This summer, he enjoys wake surfing on the lake. This fall, he is going to the Boundary Waters with friends to camp and fish (walleye is his favorite).

He also likes to travel and recently went to Japan. In addition to exploring the Japanese culture, he visited Pokemon card shops. Fisher started collecting Pokémon cards when he was a kid and he has amassed quite the collection.

He also travels to Grateful Dead concerts. He has seen them in concert 4 times (so far).

Now he turns his focus to studying for the financial advisor licensing tests. As he builds his career, he will no doubt discover that:

“Once in awhile you get shown the light,
In the strangest of places if you look at it right.”
~ Grateful Dead

Jennifer

Jennifer’s career is in medical device sales and management. She enjoys working with physicians and administrators, promoting innovative technology and modern treatment facilities.

Outside of work, Jennifer likes spending time with her family, boating, and traveling. Her favorite destination? St John US Virgin Islands. But Jennifer is happiest near home, on the lake.

Bill

Bill is a family law attorney. He represents clients in divorce, adoption, and other family law matters. Bill enjoys the challenge of problem solving and is a fierce advocate for his clients.

In his free time, Bill likes boating, hockey, riding his Harley, and listening to country music. Bill brought a cowboy hat to his headshot session. Boots too. I love when a client wears something fun that reflects their authentic personality.

Betsy

As an occupational therapist, Betsy helps children with disabilities or injuries develop and recover daily living skills. Her compassion and encouragement guide kids toward independence.

Outside of work, Betsy enjoys spending time with her family, going on walks with friends, and playing tennis, volleyball and pickleball.

She likes to stay active and her work helps kids stay active too.

Kadee

Kadee is passionate about helping women navigate life transitions with confidence.

As a financial advisor, her team works with families to provide thoughtful financial planning and investment advice.

Outside of the office, Kadee enjoys attending networking events, working out, reading, and traveling with her family.

Kadee is a busy mom of 4. The morning of this shoot, she made chocolate chip pancakes for her kids and packed school lunches before arriving at my studio.

Kadee has a very full schedule and she manages it all fueled by a zest for life and a passion for helping others achieve financial health.

Susie

Have you ever tried to call a business and all you get is an automated robot?

The human voice is irreplaceable. That’s where Susie’s company, A Quality Answering Service, comes in.

They are the first impression for their clients. The answering service allows businesses to be available 24/7, 365 days a year — so there are no missed opportunities and customers are heard.

As president and owner of this national company, Susie travels a lot. But she always makes time for her active family, whether it’s cheering her son on at motocross competitions, preparing her daughter for the move to college, RV-ing across the country with her husband, or hanging out at the family farm.

Susie knows the value of personal connection, and her business clients do too.

Claire

As a pediatric audiologist and certified mindset coach, Dr. Claire helps moms gain confidence and stop generational patterns, so they can be the role model they want to be for their kids.

The most common challenge she sees moms face? Overwhelm and guilt. I hear that!

Dr. Claire enjoys spending time with her young family. She volunteers as a troop leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. In her free time, she enjoys watching the Packers or listening to good music. Led Zeppelin is her favorite band, and she proudly wore a Zeppelin shirt to this shoot.

As Dr. Claire guides women in discovering confidence and purpose, her work will have a lasting impact on many families. That’s better than a stairway to Heaven!

Susan

Susan is a nurse who is passionate about helping others find health and healing.

She also loves animals. Susan is currently fostering a dog while the owner recovers from a broken leg.

When she isn’t working, walking the dog, or gardening, Susan enjoys spending time with her grandkids and is eager to meet the newest little one who is on the way!

Lisa

Lisa is a mom of 5 kids (and 2 naughty dogs), so her house is full this summer!

When she’s not at her kids’ sports events, she likes to work out, golf, ski, watch a movie, or read a good book.

She also enjoys traveling with her family. Italy and New Zealand are favorite places she’s experienced. China holds a special place in her heart, and she is an advocate for Chinese adoption.

Lisa has a wry sense of humor and she had me laughing throughout this photo shoot even as we talked about serious topics like parenting, aging, and life transitions.

She has a way of sparking joy in any conversation, and in life.

Heather

Heather consults with firms to build stronger client experiences and growth because of their brand.

In her free time, Heather loves spending time with her family, traveling, and finding the best new workout out there.

Heather’s keen business perspective combined with her ability to connect people will amplify brands, producing visible results for her clients. Simply put, Heather brings brands to life.

Liz

As a mortgage loan officer, Liz guides people through the loan process. Her clients range from young first time homebuyers to established professionals buying their dream home.

When she isn’t in the office, Liz enjoys volunteering at chamber of commerce events and festivals, doing Pilates, and attending concerts like Hootie and the Blowfish this summer.

Her favorite getaway is the cabin up north where she likes to fish and relax with her family. Liz values having a place where family can gather to build memories and she helps her clients achieve that.

Marissa

Marissa came in for headshots as she prepares to graduate with a masters degree in occupational therapy. She enjoys working with clients of all ages as she helps them recover skills for daily living, working, and independence.

Fitness is important to Marissa — she is a personal trainer. When she’s not in the gym, you might find her at her favorite coffee shop— she loves coffee!

Wishing Marissa the best as she embarks on her OT career of helping others live their best life.

Kim

Kim is a flower farmer.  From amaryllis to zinnia, you’ll find a variety of plants growing in her gardens.  She sells the colorful blooms to wholesalers.

Kim doesn’t have a favorite flower— it’s like asking if she has a favorite child.  But she is an advocate for buying local, which means getting flowers that are in season where you live.

When she isn’t in her gardens, she likes to read, work out, spend time with her family and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Brandon

Brandon works in sales and he has the natural personality for it: friendly and charming.

He is also an actor and model. He grew up in St Paul, Minnesota and recently moved to Atlanta to pursue more theater opportunities.

Brandon is inspired by the work of actors like Damson Idris, Denzel Washington, and Tom Cruise. Typically typecast as a young athlete, he looks forward to earning more dramatic parts.

When he’s not working, Brandon enjoys basketball, jazz music, thrifting, and savoring a good meal. His favorite dish is chicken alfredo.

He is willing to work hard to get challenging acting roles and won’t let any setbacks get in his way. As Denzel Washington said, “You pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too.”

Break a leg, Brandon!

Eve

Eve’s favorite word is “joyful”.

As I got to know her during this headshot session, I learned how she infuses joy and kindness into her life.

Eve is an actor and voiceover artist.  Ever since she performed in a school production of The Music Man, she’s loved acting.  She also has a knack for accents.  I asked her to do an Irish accent and she nailed it.

Eve works in sales for a marketing company.  She has the personality for sales: confident, friendly, willing to listen.

Faith is a cornerstone of her life.  Since converting to Catholicism, she attends the Basilica where she sings in the choir and advocates for diversity, inclusion, and restorative justice.  She wants to be part of the healing.

In her free time, she loves to read and is a fan of self-help guru Tony Robbins.  According to Robbins, the secret to happiness is progress.

Steve

Steve is president and CEO of CenterPoint, a company that designs and builds award-winning custom environments for clients.

The CenterPoint team makes eye-catching exhibits for use at conferences and trade shows.

It’s a family business. Steve runs the company with his wife. They met in business school but didn’t get the chance to work together until years later when they bought this company. When they aren’t working, they like to spend time with their four children, go out on the lake, and volunteer in the community.

Kelly

Like the hundred-year-old farm house she lives in, Kelly is charming, warm and welcoming.

Kelly and her husband raised four children there, and now they all live in different states. Kelly works for an airline and one of the perks of the job is free flights, so she sees her kids frequently.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, journaling, studying the Bible, walking her dog or cozying up by the fireplace. She is interested in learning about flower gardening, so that is her spring project.

I’m not surprised Kelly wants to plant beautiful flowers. She spreads beauty in the world, as a compassionate and kind friend. Kelly is quick to listen, share a laugh, give an encouraging word, or even model for a photographer friend who wants to practice new lighting. [Thanks, Kel!]

Michael

Michael is an actor in New York City. When he isn’t going to auditions, he is studying — he is a college student majoring in theater.

Michael says he got into acting “by accident”. In middle school, he was late for basketball tryouts so a friend suggested he audition for the school musical down the hall instead. He did, earning a lead role. Thus began his acting career. He still loves basketball but theater is his passion.

As they say in the business, break a leg!

Mark

I love capturing a young person’s first headshot!

Mark is a college student majoring in Economics. He contacted me for a headshot session while preparing to interview for summer internships in the wealth management sector. In addition to conventional headshots, we took some fun GQ-inspired shots.

When he isn’t studying or interviewing, you’ll find Mark on the football field practicing with his teammates. They hope to make a run at the D3 national championship this fall.

After college, Mark wouldn’t mind staying in the midwest [he’s from Illinois], but he is also drawn to sunny Florida where he has traveled with family. Time will tell.

Wherever he lands, no doubt he will tackle big things and experience the thrill of victory along the way.

Peter

Peter is a graduate student who plans to work in advertising or marketing after earning his MBA.

As an athlete playing multiple sports in high school and football in college, Peter’s dream job would combine sports and business. With his personality and drive, an NFL front office would be fortunate to have him!

At home, Peter enjoys cooking and his favorite dish to prepare is shrimp alfredo. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Fueled by faith and discipline, Peter doesn’t shy away from adventure. He is considering a cross-country bike ride with friends after the semester ends. Because, as the saying goes …

Jobs fill your pockets but adventures fill your soul.
